History
1986 Father Ogden Hoffman and Pastor Andy Webb form a community food bank at Trinity Episcopal Church in Folsom.
1987 Twin Lakes becomes a recipient of newly founded Raley’s Food for Families program.
1988 First By-Laws approved
1990 Twin Lakes Food Bank Incorporated; Joined Senior Gleaners
1991 Moved to Junction Mall on Sutter Street, Folsom
1995 Purchase duplex on Montrose Drive in Folsom; First Annual Dinner/Auction
1996 Moved Food Bank to Montrose duplex location in January
2005 New Onsite Warehouse Constructed; Began distributing USDA Commodities in November
2006 Mortgage retired in August, Box truck purchased
2007 Walk-in Freezer purchased in November
2010 Spencer Maintenance Co. donated a 1999 Box Truck; Purchase first two commercial refrigerators
2011 Twin Lakes Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Service; Mayor & City of Folsom delivers Proclamation commemorating Twin Lakes Food Bank
2012 “Angels on Wheels” program delivering groceries to Senior shut-ins begins; Food Bank garden started with 28 raised beds at Mount Olive Lutheran Church; Joined Harvest Sacramento Program
2013 Reggie & Jackie Adams donated commercial Diesel box truck
2014 First Annual Folsom Citywide Food Drive; Off-Site warehouse leased; Electric pallet jack purchased; Garden greenhouse constructed
2015 Purchased refrigerated van; “Pantry on Wheels” program begins grocery delivery to senior centers; Senior citizens have the opportunity to receive groceries twice a month.
2018 New logo and rebranding.
