"Last summer I was forced to leave my apartment after my roommate lost her job and couldn't pay her half of the rent.  I didn't know we had a local food bank.  A friend told me about it and I was able to get enough food, clothing and personal items to save up for a deposit on a smaller apartment and I even received resources that helped me pursue a higher paying job".
